Artist Statement
Amelia Lewis is a mixed media artist currently located in Northern California. She works in various media, collage and painting, her work employs a subtle narrative with underlying themes such as feminism, death and rebirth. An avid lover of the library, historical and image research, she sites image samples from history, creating a visual reality of their own.
Lewis is an art activist, community organizer and designer. Her recent art practice includes street art and collective organization.
